Re: Work Center and Work Center Category.

Hello Yash,

In the screen CR01 (Menu/ Logistics/Production/master data/ work center/ create) see the list of Categories appearing. and study in SPRO (Production/Basic Data/Work Center/General Data/define work center category) the commonality of these Categories by going into Application.

Capture.JPG

You would find one thing common here: i.e.,P - Routings for Production

Capture.JPG

So, when you give this value in Application to your Category, then it will be appearing there in the list of CR01.

Similarly the entry I (Maintenance Tasklists) in Application would make the Category appear in Tcode IR01. (Plant Maintenance > Environment > Work Centers > IR01 - Create ).

Good luck

Re: Maintenance order error

Hi Lokesh,

Responsible cost center in work order (Additional data tab) is derived from the cost center maintained in the MainWork Ctr defined in the Header Data tab of maintenance order.

Profit center (Additional data tab) is derived from the profit center maintained in the responsible cost center master data.

Responsible cost center: Go to IR03 > Costing tab> refer to 'Cost center field'

Profit center: Go to KS03> put responsible cost center > go to basic data tab > refer to 'Profit center' field

Hope this helps!

Thanks,

Tajinder

This is standard SAP behaviour. If you are not getting values as defined above, there will be some enhancements done by the finance team. Get in touch with your finance counterparts in that case.

Activities created by Bapi, they are not transferred to MRS

Hi Experts!..

I thank them can help me solve a problem we're having in MRS,

I'm trying to integrate non-SAP external system via an RFC to PS, such integration creates activities within the graph currently in SAP ERP is active MRS.

MRS through demand generated is planned from PS activities.
user status is set to create the OK02 transaction activity, scheme: RMFS0001 text: user status, status: STPL, Initial status: X

For this, I am using the bapi: BAPI_BUS2002_ACT_CREATE_MULTI

when designing the RFC program I consider the following
calls to the following additional documentation according BAPIs that are required for the appropriate performance:

1. BAPI_PS_INITIALIZATION
2. BAPI_BUS2002_ACT_CREATE_MULTI
3. BAPI_PS_PRECOMMIT
4. BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT

The problem is that when running the RFC PS activities are created, but these do not happen as demand MRS.
They have any idea why the demands are not transferred to the MRS planner.

Thank´s

Re: Regarding data extraction from table

Hi Prashantha,

I think you are putting some value in field WERK (Plant) in table EQUI and then expecting to get the results for that plant. Unfortunately WERK in EQUI table is not the right field to use to extract plant specific data for equipment master.

Now you can filter the equipment using below 2 criteria:

1) If you want to filter equipment using Planning Plant, put value of planning plant (field IWERK) in table EQUZ

2) If you want to filter equipment using Maintenance Plant, put value of maint plant (field SWERK) in table ITOB

Hope this helps!

Using surcharge percentage in Purchase Requisition

$

Is there a way to enter a surcharge as a percentage of the total value of the line above in a purchase requisition?

A picture is worth a 1000 words, so here we go:

In the attached snip, we purchased 24,000 kg of blasting powder. We are charged two surcharges, a % on the total value of the powder. Is there a way to enter it into this form?

What we have been doing is just calculating it out and entering a quantity of 1; unit of Each; Price is the calculated price - say $504.

This does not seem to me to be the proper way of entering it, and if the quantity of powder were to be changed, then the surcharges would have to be re-calculated.

If someone knows of a better way, feel free to share:-)

Thanks in advance.

Hello dear experts,

- Supposing that we have two production units A and B. We are using an equipement X in A and we want to transfer it to B. How can we proceed to do that and what are the changes that have to be made ??

- To do that are we supposed to modify the informations related to the equipement or there a transaction or another way to do it since we have a historical data of use f this equipement ??

Regards.

Hi Terry,

At our site we have a lot of people making work orders for the equipment all differently making it a planners headache to fix.

if you are talking about order created redundantly/duplicate then better activate object info Pop up, which intern will give information to user that there are some open orders against this Equipment.

it is more of a training user or else you should think of having some custom/enhancement logic to Pop up and restrict user from creating duplicate Order.

REKHA,

With that explanation, this discussion does not stop there and does not answer fully the 'why?'. Because the why will arise again when this field will be  overwritten by some tasklist details, then it will not be necessarily 'E'. Now we need to explain the PRT logic after this over-writing, which happens almost in 100% of the Orders. In other-words, the significance of 'E' to be explained keeping in view its very temporary existence.

IP20 - Maintenance Plan Number Range - Assigning Old Numbers

$

Hello Experts

I am hoping one of you, may be able to provide some information in regards to the assignment of new maintenance plan numbers.

We have a scenario were an old maintenance plan number (not previously used) was assigned. This is for internal numbering only.

My understanding is we have buffering in use, which can cause a gap in the number assignment.

I would have expected the sequencing to only move forward in numbers not backwards. Is this part of the standard design or an error?

Any help you could provide would be appreciated. I had done some manual searching to see if any other discussions included the same scenario, but was only able to find one related to purchase requisitions that mentioned applying a note and changing the settings to remove buffering.

SNRO - MPLA_NR.jpg

Our last maintenance plan created according to number was on Apr 30, 2015 and is number 275

Our last maintenance plan created according to date was on Jun 18, 2015 and is number 242

We starting using the maintenance plans originally on Mar 5, 2013, creating plan #1.

This is the first time a old number has been assigned by the system.

Hello Sarah,

Your situation (number allotment FORWARD and BACKWARD) is quite NORMAL. It happens everywhere and with many SAP objects. This is a phenomenon with Production client because there will be many servers here. It is not the case with clients with single server like Dev, Quality or others. Buffering is arranged for reducing response times. For example if you set the Buffering to 1, the response times for creating a number will be too much.

I am attaching today's example in my server. The Notification numbers are in the Descending order of Time. If you observe carefully, at the arrow points the Notification numbers moved backward. Here also the buffer is 10. In maintenance Orders the buffer is 20. These are standard recommended settings and the expected behavior too.

How can you activate the object info pop-up? I know how to do a lot of the variants, and am trying to get everyone on the same page.
