Re: Capacity records from KBED getting deleted after TECO

Hi Smart,

Are you not able to use Table AFVV ?

KBED - Shows the fields has Latest Start date and time / Latest Finish date and time.

Similarly, these fields should be available in AFVV.

Terence

Hi Terence,

No.

In AFVV we are not finding the same time as coming in the requirements assignments of the operation tab.

Re: how to map the business process of LAM in SAP EAM

Hi Sameer

LAM is amn extension of all o fthe previously existing PM/EAM processes. For example, if you have a process called maintenance works management or if you have a process called master data management, these will not be impacted at the process level. The impact will be at the transactional level by which the transactions like orders, measurement document creation will have additional functionality.

There are plenty of documentation and web sites in which you can find lots of details:

Linear Asset Management | Enterprise Asset Management | SAP

Linear Asset Management | SCN

Hi Jogeswara,

Your solution is really interesting and helpful to us.

For this particular issue on the set up 1000 usage times PM, would you please share with me the detailed steps with Tcode or if possible screenshot?

I really know little about it. Please kindly extend your help.

Thank you,

Sally

Hello Sally,

My replies already have full explanation as I do usually in the first response. Same would repeat if I explain again.  However I do it ....

  1. Having a counter for Saw-blade replacement is not difficult to understand (IK01). This is a Counter created on the Saw-blade as Equipment with characteristic UOM as EA or NO.
  2. This counter will increment by 1 whenever it gets Dismantled and new Blade is installed.
  3. You will put the required code in exit IMRC0001 to trigger a Maintenance Order if the Counter reads 1000, 2000 and so on.
  4. When the Counter Reading of the above Counter reads 1000, the code in the exit creates a Maintenance Order of your specifications (Order creation is a part of this code which includes Task list also) .
  5. This Order creation code can be though Batch input lines (SHDB recording) OR using a Function module BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN.

Points 3,4 and 5 are pure technical and would depend upon your ABAPer. This job looks a bit difficult for Functional persons who are usually habituated to typical Maintenance plans, but is a simple one for professional ABAPers.

Based on these inputs, if you have got any specifics about these points (1 through 5), you may revert. As far as screen shot is concerned, only screen shot I can attach is the IK01 (Counter creation), which I do not think you need, What you need is to understand the above proposal. This can be done only when you sit alongwith an ABAPer and read it.

Good luck

Re: Equipment IDOC issue

hello Kumar,

if you are looking for the Idoc through which the equipment is Created then look for the

EQUIPMENT_CREATE01

EQUIPMENT_CREATE02 idoc types and search for the Idoc

or go for the WE09 and give the wild search of the equipment description in the field  "

Search in Field ...

for Value ..." so that i can get the equipment data, as you already confirming that the data is flown on that particular date then it is more easy if u can search with the WE09 tcode.

please close the Thread if this answers your query.

Re: What needs to be done for decommisioning of maintenance plant ?

hello,

if i can understand you case i feel like the plant is not completely decommissioned as even the buyer is using SAP system.

if they are willing to go ahead maintaining the same plant into their System they will introduce the same Plant level setting into their System, as far you are selling it you will be decommissioning it(if my understanding is not wrong).

below are the applicable points that we have to review and take measures on at the time of Plant decommission

1.Look for the Order Types assigned to the Plant

2.Work orders(Open Orders) that are in CRTD status has to to be set to DO NOT EXECUTE status

3.Work Orders(Open Orders) that are in REL status has to be set to TECO and then to CLSD.

4.Task list that are Created at the Plant level has to be set to Deletion Flag

5.Measuring Pointers has to be deleted if any created for the Equipment’s that fall under that plant.

6.Strategy strategies that are created under the Plant having the Maintenance Plans has to be set with Deletion Indicators

7.Preventive Plans that are created under Maintenance Plant has to be set with Deletion Indicators.(LSMW suggestible)

8.Maintenance Plan Scheduling has to be stopped

9.Equipment’s Created under the Plant has to be set to Deletion Indicator

10.Functional Locations that are present in Plant has to be deleted.

11. Work Center has to be set with Deletion Indicators

12.User Exists or Enhancements that are written at the Plant level checks has to be identified and removed at ABAP Program level

13.WORKFLOW should be  stopped underlying in the batch jobs(if any scheduled)

14.to make sure all the WO's are settled

Gurus, please feel free to add/correct the above points.

Hi Smart,

Well, may be you need to develop a custom report / table to get the values and use it to your report.

Changing the standard functionality of the table is not recommended, so I don't think there is any other options, you can wait for others response.

Dear,

Is Company-Y is also under your client with respect to SAP ? I mean all company codes under one client. This activity is just like creating a plant code under new company -Y.

I suggest you to approach SAP by raising an incident so that you need to plan many critical cutover activities.Kindly consider in all integration aspects also while assigning existing plant to other company codes.

Hi,

In Ie02 click on edit menu and then view selection. Activate PRT data view and release PRT then you will be able to use Equipment as PRT

Rhythm,

Have this setting in Selection screen (IP24)

Capture.JPG

Means : Do not bring rows with Order number blank.

You can make use of report IW39 for this purpose, by giving selection parameter Maintenance Plan<> blank. with other selection parameters*.

OR

IW39 with specific plan numbers in Maintenance Planfield  and with statuses like Outstanding  and with Basic Start date etc.

*With other required parameters like Order type, planner group, work center etc in both cases.

Link TAB in Notification

We have a link TAB to document and GIS for Equipment. I can add links to open a document, Piction picture and GIS. I need to do the same thing for Notification created. Add Piction Link and upload .Gif, .png or Jpeg image. How do I do that?

You can add link to services for object...

Or you can create custom tab and develop custom solution too..

Hi Yogesh,

In the serial number profile I have already unchecked the check box "Serial Number Existing Requirement" & for MMSL = 02 (Serial number with / without equipment requirement). Still the equipment is not getting created.

Thanks

Have you activated serial data tab for equipment master... I can generate equipment with same setting.

Re: Link TAB in Notification

Daniel

As Yogesh suggested, the simplest and fastest solution is Services for Object which is used heavily by lots of companies but that solution uses the SAP database for saving the uploaded documents.  A formal option might be, using the same method you used for Equipment Master records and linking the SAP DMS Document info Records.

For this one, go to SPRO  and find the following configuration:

SPRO1.PNG

Then find the Notification Type that you would like to configure, find a TAB which is appropriate and allows you to enter screen areas and then insert the screen area092:

Notification.PNG

With this option you can use SAP DMS documents to be attached to the notifications. (assuming that SAP DMS Document Type has been configured to allow attachment to notifications as well.

Once again, services for objects is a nice solution but check the following thread as well in order to make sure that whether you want to use it or DMS:

Advantage of DMS over "Services for object" functionality

I actually would like to create a link as Piction is an External Link. I have for Equipment but need one for Notification.

Thanks
