I have got a requirement where Quantity only to be transferred to Billing Request through DIP Profile. Scenario has been explained in detail.
Company is providing Service to the Customer by giving Ship to the Customer. This service includes following Service categories.
- Vessel Rental (Vessel Depreciation)
- Crew Members (Crew Members Salary, other Allowances, etc.,)
- Meals for Crew Members
- Repair & Service
- Electricity
- Water
- Supplies / PRT
- etc.,
In the Company, CS, HR & Asset Accounting is being implemented.
Each ship has been created as Profit Center as well as Cost Center.
Crew Members are linked directly to Ship cost center in HR Master data. So salary & other allowances are being booked directly against ship cost center.
Vessel depreciation is being booked directly in FICO.
As company is having contract with customer, one service order will be created for one ship. At every month end, Crew member salary & depreciation will be booked into service order from respective cost center by running Actual distribution cycle via KSV2, KSV5.
For Labor work center, no activity type is maintained. So, from service order, only Working hours of Crew Members & Ship is being captured.
While running DP90, system is not picking those quantities & throwing error message as No Expenditure Items found (as there is no link between Expense booked & Quantity confirmed).
My query is:
- Is it possible to transfer only Quantity from Service Order without having any cost booked
- If so, what is the exact configurations to be done in DIP Profile
- If not, what would be the best alternative way to address this issue.
Limitations:
- In SAP, Cost element is mandatory as reference characteristics
- Company can't give Activity price for all the direct costs.
