My client wants to have a tool tracking system in sap as they are giving their tools to other departments on return basis. I am planning to do in a standard way in SAP for which the steps are as below.
1. Create miscellaneous PRT by T code: CF01
2. Create general notification by departments and assign department in the field (department name maintained in catalog and code groups) for requesting any tools from maintenance departments.
3. Maintenance department converts notification to maintenance order and assign the miscellaneous PRT with quantity requested and release the order.
4. When the requesting department return back the tools, the Maintenance department closes the maintenance order.
5. Custom report for tracking purpose.
.Currently they are having FI,MM,PM,PS,HR modules only.Also there is no cost scenario involved in this case. Is it the right way to go for it or is there any different approach which i should follow. Kindly suggest.
