Re: PM orders with incorrect revision cause maintenance plan issues?

Greetings Scott,

When you assigned an 2012 revision to your Order, the basic dates must've been changed to 2012 as well. Now when this Order was technically completed, the reference date proposed must've been adopted from the basic date instead of the current date.

Please check your settings in SPRO - Plant Maintenance - Maintenance and Service processing - Maintenance and Service Orders - Functions and settings for Order types - Define proposed reference time for technical completion.

If the setting for the Order type is anything but blank, a date other than the current may be proposed when technically completing the Order. Compare http://scn.sap.com/thread/1646111

You can look up the reference date on the Order header. For a TECO Order this is the completion date.

Cancel TECO and re-complete the Order.

To avoid this issue, you probably want to make sure the business update the dates or set the 'Completed' flag for old revisions in transaction OIOB
