Greetings Hafiz,

 

just an observation - there are actually three valuation categories involved

 

C1 - new spares

C2 - damaged spares

C3 - refurbished spares

 

(first is usually at purchase value moving price, second is at zero standard price or scrap price, third is at moving price and is affected by value of refurbishment orders settled to inventory value)

 

What you describe is actually the corrective process to remove a malfunctioning part from the installation and into the 'damaged' category.

 

The refurbishment order or suborder would actually be a follow-on process from there. Please have a look at the links provided above.
