Dear JSean,
Let me first add to the articulated perception of non-SAP software on HANA.
Specific Software itself is not necessarily faster if it is just linked to in-memory Database SAP HANA or based on software accessing SAP HANA. Software can show the same performance as before or might be even slower.
“SAP Business Suite powered by HANA” (SoH) makes sure that SAP applications run and run ultimately faster to incredible faster. Software that has not been assessed and enabled might be incompliant with SAP HANA and disrupt the system. Any software that wants to show performance boost on its own will have to go through optimization phase requiring development. There is of course particular software that by nature benefits immediately from the underlying architecture like analytic scenarios.
I outlined the releases for SAP MRS to ensure compatibility and performance, all aligned with SAP SoH; I do not comment on non-SAP software that has also not passed typical SAP partner cerification and compliance checks.
Without knowing your business scenario it is hard to point you to SAP functionality other that SAP Multiresource Scheduling as the SAP product for serious scheduling.
Best regards,
Joerg
