- When packed equipment (e.g. compression skids) are received, only the top-level equipment record is generated automatically upon MM goods receipt transaction using serial number profile functionality. We are looking for automated process to ensure that the subordinate pieces of equipment (e.g. compressors, engines, coolers, etc.) would also be created along with top-level equipment in order to track all essential equipment records of package equipment.
- Equipment Packages: A package is ordered on a PO as one item and received as one item. But Mechanical Integrity or best practices for Plant Maintenance require the one item to be two or more pieces of equipment as packaged by supplier. It is time consuming to manually “break” apart the one item and create multiple equipment records. Need to find a way to improve: automation, process change…
