Garry,
It can be as simple as setting the equipment to inactive and closing any outstanding orders/notifis/plans and dismantle the equipment from the FLoc etc.
If the equipment are serialised, then you will need to move them into stock first, then follow the scrapping process (you might want to talk with you MM Team to see how that is done currently in your system).
